Welcome to the Murray Hotel on Mackinac Island...
We are very excited to have you enjoy our hospitality while attending your art workshop. At the Murray Hotel, you will find your home away from home from the moment you arrive until you are ready to leave the Island. There are no cars on the island, therefore you will be able to enjoy a relaxing and picturesque environment with a great sense of history. We also have a quaint Inn- the Inn on Mackinac that is located about two blocks from downtown.
The Murray has a total of 69 rooms that are fully air-conditioned, private bathrooms and includes a deluxe continental breakfast each morning and 24 hour complimentary coffee. There is a Murray’s Deli and Café Monet conveniently located in the lobby area for your lunch and dinner venue. Café Monet serves fresh baked goods and gourmet coffees with a cozy fireplace. We have recently remodeled the hotel with an outdoor hot-tub and a large sundeck on the second floor. We also have dock porter service to assist you with your luggage needs. You can get horse drawn taxis for your traveling needs around the Island at any time but most restaurants and stores are nearby.
The Murray is located within walking distance to all three ferry docks, restaurants, places of interest, and other Island facilities. The Ferry Boats arriving on Mackinac Island would depart from both Mackinaw City and St. Ignace, Michigan. The closest airport to Mackinaw City is in Pellston which is located approximately 15 miles away from the dock. Northwest Airlines has daily services from Detroit to Pellston. A rental car is not necessary as there are Taxi services to the ferry docks available for your convenience. We look forward to having you as our guest!
We are thrilled to have you stay with us and experience our hospitality during your art workshop. Please feel free to contact us if you need more information on our future events. 1-800 4 MACKINAC!
Sincerely,
The Murray Hotel Family
